Judging from her face, I think Elaenia had a great birthday.
Laeni's b-day is actually today, but we celebrated yesterday since it was Saturday.
Laeni's b-day present from Grandma Francis. I think both girls are going to have a lot of fun with it!!
Tori picked out a special suprise for Laeni - a stuffed elephant. Tori had scribbled on a "card" for Laeni, and when I asked her to read the card to Laeni, Tori said, "It says I yuv you Yaenia!"
We had a Noah's Ark theme: Here is the cake.
I spent a LOT more time on this than I probably should have, but honestly, I'd do it again. Everything but Noah is edible. Bryan's contribution was the hammerhead sharks :). I think it looked a lot better in person than it does in the picture (but maybe I'm imagining it :)
The aligator with the teeth and giraffes were probably my favorite.
I looked ALLLLLL over town a week ago for toy animals, but refused to pay $7 for a couple of animals in a bag- so I decided to make some out of chocolate. I made a few, but wasn't satisfied. One morning I was listening to Tori asking mom and dad to play "with playdo" with her...but we were "too busy." I felt sad for her, so I decided after I was done feeding Laeni that I would play with her - while we were cutting out our shapes, I realized that we have a bunch of little animal cookie cutters...hmmm. An idea formulated into a pretty good thing - luckily for me I decided to "unbusy" myself and take time to play with my little girls.

The happiness wore off today at church though. As we were sitting in sacrament meeting, Laeni kept screaming at the top of her lungs. At one point Tori screamed back!!

I was teaching in sharing time so a friend of mine watched Laeni and she laughed because Laeni didn't scream once! Happy Birthday Laeni. We Love you little Laeni bug.
