This is Tori days before today...happy as a clam on the kitchen counter! My favorite part of the day is leaving work and knowing I can see my little family in 20-30 minutes, which has turned me into a speed racer on the freeway...talking to cars, or rather their drivers, who obviously cannot hear me. This week Bry is in Costa Rica, so I have been even more anxious to get home and spend time with my Tori-Deedle-Doo. She has been jabbering and giggling a lot lately, but drooling like crazy again...so you know what that means.
Bryan and I thought she was getting more teeth over a week ago, but no signs of change...until today when picked Tori up from Miriam's house. She was so lax and blah, not her usual self. When we got home, she played a little while I just watched her and admired how "functional" she's becoming while crawling and going after things.
...Anyway, she started to cry and I remembered Miriam noticing that Tori seemed more clingy than usual. I snuggled her a bit and then thought she might be hungry, so I heated up some spaghetti that I had pureed and some fruit. She didn't eat as much as she usually does before she started to cry again...so we snuggled in the rocking chair, her onsie only half on before I realized she had already dozed off.
Before long, she woke up crying again and whimpering and so I started to search for the Tylenol to help those little gums not hurt so bad. By the time we finally tracked down the seldom-used item, Tori was throwing up...all over me, again and again, and again. Poor lil girl. I had been in the process of getting into my jammies earlier so I was only 1/2 dressed myself...and I am happy to say that although there was quite a bit of the "stuff" - it ALL landed on me (and my undies) which Tori started to pick off, so not much on her...but enough to warrant a bath for the two of us.
Poor lil' thing. Getting teeth is the pits when you can't say, "mom, enough of the food already, my mouth hurts and you're 'killin' me'!" All she can do is whimper and cry and try to inform me that she's no longer hungry. So sad. The only good thing about a little sprout being sick is that they like to snuggle, ahh.
Cross your fingers that she can sleep through the night.
On a lighter note...we bought a hutch last weekend for our kitchen. Our very first piece of "real" furniture that we have bought since being married that we don't have to assemble ourselves - it's made of true-blue-through-and-through wood...the real deal. It's lovely.

ALSO....Here's a video of Tori crawling for a bit and then dancing :)
